PRAYERS FOR VT

I received this through my email.

WE WOULD LIKE TO SEND OUR PRAYERS OUT TO ALL THOSE EFFECTED IN THIS TRAGEDY AT VA TECH.

LORD, WE KNOW THROUGH YOUR WORD THAT THOSE WHO GRIEVE OR MOURN WILL BE COMFORTED AND THOSE WHO ARE HURT OR SICK MAY BE HEALED. LORD, WE PRAY THAT YOU COMFORT THOSE WHO HAVE LOST LOVED ONES IN THIS TRAGEDY AND TO HEAL THOSE INJURED. WE ASK ALSO THAT YOU HEAL THE HEART AND SOULS OF ALL AFFECTED BY THIS. LORD, HELP OUR COUNTRY, IT'S LEADERS AND IT'S CITIZENS TO FIND THE WISDOM, STRENGTH AND COURAGE TO KNOW AND TO DO WHAT WE NEED TO PREVENT SUCH A TRAGEDY FROM HAPPENING AGAIN. HELP US LORD TO REMEMBER THAT LIFE IS VERY SHORT AND TO USE THE TIME WE HAVE TO LET OUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY KNOW HOW MUCH WE DO LOVE AND APPRECIATE THEM. LET THIS REMIND US TO BE KIND TO OTHERS, TO COMFORT OTHERS TO TREAT OTHERS AS WE WOULD WANT TO BE TREATED TO GIVE TO THOSE IN NEED AND TO FORGIVE AS WE WOULD WISH TO BE FORGIVEN.

MAY WE REMEMBER THAT ABOVE ALL YOU ARE THE WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE; AND NO ONE COMETH UNTO THE FATHER , EXCEPT THROUGH YOU.

IN JESUS NAME, AMEN.

SELL THIS NEST!!

Our house is now officially listed with REMAX. We listed it on April 3rd. We have had 3 showings. One is, undecided, the second said the house was too small for them, and don't know about the one today. I am starting to love my vacuums again. And in case you haven't heard , the dryer is a great place to hide things!!

CHRIST THE LORD IS RISEN TODAY!! ALLELUIA

JOHN 3:16

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

JOHN 11:25-26

Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:
And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

LADY VOLS WIN TITLE

CLEVELAND - After a nine-year title drought, Tennessee and coach Pat Summitt are NCAA champions. The Lady Vols captured an elusive seventh national title Tuesday night, beating Rutgers to the ball for second and third shots in a 59-46 win to reclaim their customary place above all other programs.

Summitt's 947th career win could be one of her sweetest. The Hall of Fame coach — joined on the floor afterward by her mother, Hazel Head, in a wheelchair — had captured six national titles from 1987-98, but had been shut out for No. 7 despite having some of her most talented teams. AP SPORTS

I have always enjoyed watching Pat Summitt coach. As in all sports I have more than one favorite team to cheer for. This has been a favorite. Glad to see ROCKY TOP on a high today!!

JUST LIKE FOOTBALL...JUST LIKE FOOTBALL

Well, I am one happy lady this AM. The GATORS of the UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA chomped on the BUCKEYES in the NCAA BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME! (84-75) Not only did they win two NCAA BASKETBALL championships back to back, but they also defeated the BUCKEYES in the NCAA NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP in FOOTBALL! (41-14) One of the resident BUCKEYE FAN NEWS BROADCASTERS, MINDY DRAYER, said last night following the game, that FLORIDA was the "NEW" MICHIGAN for the BUCKEYES!! HA HA HA!! I didn't think they could hate anyone like they do the WOLVERINES!! I guess this will keep the BUCKEYE fans quiet for a while...well at least, until spring football begins, and then we will be forced to listen to them again go on and on and on about how great the BUCKEYES are! I think they better step back and lick those chomp marks the GATORS have put in the FOOTBALL and BASKETBALL players!!
NOW LETS ALL CHANT...JUST LIKE FOOTBALL...JUST LIKE FOOTBALL!!!

STILL HE WALKED

STILL HE WALKED

He could hear the crowds screaming "crucify" "crucify"

He could hear the hatred in their voices,

These were his chosen people. He loved them, and they were going to crucify him.

He was beaten, bleeding and weakened... his heart was broken, but still He walked.

He could see the crowd as he came from the palace. He knew each of the faces so well. He had created them. He knew every smile, laugh, and shed tear, but now they were contorted with rage and anger...his heart broke, But still He walked.

Was he scared? You and I would have been.

So his humanness would have mandated that he was. He felt alone.

His disciples had left, denied, and even betrayed him.

He searched the crowd for a loving face and he saw very few. Then he turned his eyes to the only one that mattered, and he knew that he would never be alone.

He looked back at the crowd, at the people who were spitting at him, throwing rocks at him and mocking him and he knew that because of him, they would never be alone.

So for them, He walked.

The sounds of the hammer striking the spikes echoed through the crowd. The sounds of his cries echoed even louder, the cheers of the crowd, as his hands and feet were nailed to the cross, intensified with each blow.

Loudest of all was the still small voice inside his Heart that whispered "I am with you, my son",and God's heart broke. He had let his son walk.

Jesus could have asked God to end his suffering, but instead he asked God to forgive.

Not to forgive him, but to forgive the ones who were persecuting him.

As he hung on that cross, dying an unimaginable death, He looked out and saw, not only the faces in the crowd, but also, the face of every person yet to be, and his heart filled with love.

As his body was dying, his heart was alive ,alive with the limitless, unconditional love he feels for each of us.That is why He walked.

When I forget how much My God loves me, I remember his walk. When I wonder if I can be forgiven, I remember his walk. When I need reminded of how to live like Christ, I think of his walk. And to show him how much I love him, I wake up each morning, turn my eyes to Him, and I walk.--
