TICK TICK TICK
LEADERS MOVING AND STORAGE
The time is ticking away as we await the moving van on Monday AM. Closing is still set for Wed. The buyers final walk through is Monday 5-6. We have boxed and reboxed this past week. I had to put up my sandals and get out my winter shoes and coats. The beds are stripped and ready to be moved. All but our bed..one more night, then the ole air mattress for a couple of nights...the old folks will be welcoming a bed come Wed. night!!!
Now, for football, Michigan and WV had a good day on Saturday. Thursday night not so good for VT, and Saturday not so good for TN. What can I say about those BUCKEYES...yep, they are at the top of the heap, and it doesn't look like they are going to go anywhere for a while. The smiles are big and bright in Columbus! By the way, have the Buckeyes played any ranked teams, except for the 25th ranked Penn State???? HMMMM...LOL

FRIDAY
All good things must come to an end....including a week at N. Myrtle Beach, SC. The weather has been awesome! Although they need rain like most of the east coast, we didn't see any this week.
We have eaten at some great places..favorite probably..PRESTONS FAMILY RESTAURANT/SEAFOOD BUFFET...it is worth the trip just for the fried oysters and chocolate cake!! Forget all those nasty veggies and salads...just go for the fried seafood, shrimp you peel, and desserts, if you really wanted to, you could add yeast rolls or hush puppies... and of course, don't forget the tums!!!!!!!!!!!! Second favorite..OVERTIME SPORTS BAR and GRILL...the best wings, sandwiches and unbelievable french fries, not to mention sports memorabilia (Ohio State mini blimp)....and went last night to The Liberty, at Broadway at the Beach..but girls..they had the best cheesy "fries" ever...they weren't really fries, but baked potatoes cut in pieces and fried..oh my!! They then top them with cheese, bacon, scallions and ranch dressing...no other food needed! We did share a steak, salad, and sweet potato...we took turns rolling each other to the car!!!!!!!!!!!
We have about a 6 hour drive back to Roanoke, where we plan to stay until Oct. 22, then off to OHIO to stay until we hopefully close on the nest on the 31st.

THURSDAY
Well believe or not..today is the first day I put foot on the sand and into the ocean!! We have such a terrific view from our ocean front balcony..I didn't feel the need to get into it....hmmm..getting older I guess. The ride around the lazy river does it for me.....probably because I am so stuffed from eating all the good food!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BIG TEN - MICHIGAN BLOWS IT AGAIN!!
ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The Big Ten may take up to three weeks to decide whether to discipline Michigan's football program for using an ineligible player.
Athletic director Bill Martin said he didn't know whether penalties, if any, might include forfeiture of the Wolverines' 14-9 victory over then-No. 10 Penn State on Sept. 22. It was one of three games in which freshman safety Artis Chambers played this season.
Martin said Saturday that the university immediately contacted the Big Ten after learning that Chambers was ineligible under the conference's freshman rules. Chambers, who enrolled at Michigan in January, cannot play the remainder of the season and did not travel with the team for Saturday's game at Northwestern. The Fort Wayne, Ind., native can still practice with the Wolverines.
Big Ten spokesman Scott Chipman declined Monday to elaborate on the process a compliance subcommittee would use in determining possible sanctions against Michigan.
Martin and athletic department spokesman Bruce Madej said Monday that they could not talk about Chambers' case because of privacy laws. Coach Lloyd Carr refused to discuss the situation at his weekly news conference Monday.
Martin acknowledged Saturday that the university had misinterpreted Big Ten freshman eligibility rules.
"Obviously, I take full responsibility for that," he said. "This isn't on Lloyd -- it's on us."
Martin said he hoped the matter would be resolved sometime this week.
