FIRST NIGHT

Well, it went just as I had expected, not alot of sleep. About 2 hours from 2-4. Then 20 minutes here and there. When you are a stomach sleeper it is impossible to sleep on your back. When you sleep on your right side, it is hard to sleep on your left side!! I see some naps today. Don't have pain, changed bandages, ready for a new day!

Still very cold and windy here. Roanoke has had a total of 40+ inches of snow this season, and we all know it isn't over. BUT the sun is shining today. HALLELUJAH!!

When I Say I am a Christian

When I say..."I am a Christian" I'm not shouting "I am saved"
I'm whispering "I was lost" That is why I chose this way.

When I say..."I am a Christian" I don't speak of this with pride.
I'm confessing that I stumble And need someone to be my guide.

When I say..."I am a Christian" I'm not trying to be strong.
I'm professing that I'm weak And pray for strength to carry on.

When I say..."I am a Christian" I'm not bragging of success.
I'm admitting I have failed And cannot ever pay the debt.

When I say..."I am a Christian" I'm not claiming to be perfect,
My flaws are all too visible, But God believes I'm worth it.

When I say..."I am a Christian" I still feel the sting of pain
I have my share of heartaches Which is why I speak His name.

When I say..."I am a Christian" I do not wish to judge.
I have no authority. I only know I'm loved.

DONE!

All went well this morning. I am home and resting and feeling great. We will wait for the final pathology reports until the 18th. Thanks for all the prayers, I know God heard and answered. I am so blessed to have such wonderful Christian friends! Love to all of you!

BE STILL AND KNOW I AM GOD

Only two days until surgery and I am starting to feel anxious. I know I have things I want and need to do before then. I need to get the house and laundry in good order. Since I HOPE to have a little friend "with" me for 3 weeks. That will limit what I can and cannot do. Oh well, what is a little dust among friends...LOL!!
I know my God is with me and will sustain me and will make me once again realize, don't worry about the earthly things but focus on Him and all my needs will be met.
